Originally taken during 'Roid Week 2010. I was lucky to catch the shadow on the wall using my Polaroid Colorpack II camera. Pack film is great. :)
Somewhere I stumbled across the technique called "freelensing", where you hold your SLR lens against the mount and swivel it around to focus (please Google for more details; I'm not responsible for any damage you inflict on your camera!). It seems like the "poor man's" alternative to getting a Lensbaby. Works for me, since I don't have the budget for a Lensbaby yet (it's on my Amazon Wish List, in case anyone wants to be ridiculously generous :D ), I was happy to try this out. Hope I'm not ruining my D90 with this experiment... *sheepish grin*
No cats were harmed in the making of this photo.

In this picture I didn't get too much selective focus, but I did get some great "light leakage". Hope I'm not ruining my D90 with this experiment... *sheepish grin*
Wasn't feeling up to going on a special trip for today's 'Roid Week photos. Luckily Pixel went up into the window and presented me with an opportunity. :)
I take lots of photos of my cats because they're easy subjects, so why not feature them at least once for 'Roid Week? :) Incidentally, when I first took this photo, the overall cast was a lot less green, almost looking like a faded, but normal Polaroid shot. However, as the afternoon wore on, the green cast became a lot more pronounced. Thought I should scan it now, lest it get even greener in a few hours! Ah, expired film...

Also, it's a lot harder to take candids of the cats with a Polaroid since the camera is so dang loud. :-/
Pixel kind of looks like he's thinking about the squirrel in the tree outside that he and Sprite were staring at. :)
Pixel was the first to spot the squirrel in the tree outside the window. He dashed to the kitchen from his usual perch atop the bookshelves in the family room. Sprite soon followed. They were captivated by the squirrel snacking in the tree and watched until he (or she) went on his way.
