jezlyn > Lady in ReposeChicago Botanic Garden - Sony H9's first test run As we were leaving the Japanese garden area, I noticed this lady sitting by the waterfall across the lake. This picture is taken at full 15x optical zoom, handheld. I was holding the H9 at about hip level and tilted the LCD to frame the shot. Since I am a rather shy photographer, using the 15x zoom for street photography would be helpful. :)

Since I don't have steady hands, I need image stabilization like VR on my Nikon 18-200 lens, or the Super SteadyShot on the H9. Of course, I guess at this long of a zoom, everybody needs help from image stabilization. :) Either way, I'm really happy about how this silhouette turned out! :)
jezlyn > Chicago Botanic Garden - Sony H9's first test run More of my favorite flowers. :) This was taken near the end of our visit, around 6 PM. Though the sun was still pretty bright, it was starting to set, and the colors of these orange and yellow tulips were amazing in that light. Very fiery.
